Tamie Smith

Tamie Smith is an accomplished equestrian and ICP Level 4 Certified Instructor with over 25 years of industry experience. Specializing in Dressage, Show Jumping, and Three-Day Eventing, Tamie offers a well-rounded skill set with proven results.

In addition to having ridden Dressage at the Grand Prix level and having earned multiple Show Jumping accolades, Tamie has made a name for herself in the Eventing spotlight. She has been named to the United States Developing Rider List multiple times (a proven training ground of the United States Olympic Team), competed at the Kentucky CCI5*, and was named the 2015 USEF CCI3* National Champion. Tamie was selected for the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru, where she contributed to USA’s Team Gold.

Stemming from the belief that every horse can teach us something valuable if we give them a chance, Tamie is known for training and developing difficult horses, helping them to find their purpose and achieve greatness. Tamie knows each horse and rider are unique. Her training philosophy is that most often horses and riders are lacking understanding and that a carefully catered training program can take their abilities to new heights. Tamie’s Website

Chloe Smyth

Three-Star Competitor, USEF U-25 List

Linda-Paine-C_S_I_(033)_20151101_1070Chloe Smyth grew up riding both western and English in Poway, California through Pony Club, graduating at the C-2 level.  At the age of 15, she spent a few months as a working student in Ireland to Olympic rider, Trevor Smith and his brother, Stephen Smith. Chloe was fortunate enough to return home with C.S.I., a then 5-year-old green Irish Sport horse/Holsteiner, who she has since brought up through the 2* level. She then competed on her high school Show Jumping team in both Hunters and Jumpers at the 3’9”-4’ levels. Chloe also won the Victor Hugo-Vidal scholarship award for equine knowledge and horsemanship.  Beginning in 2008, Chloe began riding with Tamra Smith, successful CCI4* event rider. Chloe has also found great help in Niki Hall-Clarke, grand prix dressage rider/trainer, for the past several years.

Chloe has been fortunate enough to compete a multitude of horses at venues such as Galway Downs, Rebecca Farm, Colorado Horse Park, the American Eventing Championships, Woodside Horse Park and Copper Meadows to name a few.

Besides being the Kennel man and First Professional whip to the Santa Fe Hunt, Chloe has been starting young horses, many by the Kingsway stallion, Blauer Vogel, with Terry Paine and bringing them up through the levels of competition. She also spends much of her time coaching many students of all ages and experience levels. Chloe is very dedicated to preparing her young horses and students for competition to ensure she brings out the best of each horse she rides.

Kaylawna Smith

Three-Star Competitor, USEF U-25 List

Kaylawna Smith grew up in the equestrian world. She is an assistant rider for Tamie Smith and Heather Morris and has competed up to the CCI3* level in Eventing and FEI Prix St. George in Dressage. In 2014, Kaylawna placed 9th at the NAJYRC 1* with her mount, London Calling OHF. At the end of 2019, Kaylawna was named to the 2020 USEF U25 Program Eventing Assessment Program. Kaylawna’s Website
