History of the Farm

Linda and Terry Paine originally founded KingsWay Farm in 1976 as a training and rehabilitation center for racehorses. With a true passion for the industry, Terry Paine had previously managed two racehorse farms after attending Cal Poly University in San Louis Obispo, CA. At that time, he and his wife Linda began looking for a place to turn their dream of owning and operating their own equestrian facility into a reality. When they first set eyes on the incredible 65-acre piece of land that is now KingsWay Farm, they had a vision for what it could one day be and have watched their dream become a reality over the last 3 decades.

Today KingsWay Farm is not only a breeding farm which has produced many world class horses, but is also a training and boarding facility for some of the top equestrians in the world.

In addition to developing KingsWay Farm, the Paines have also been involved in the community of Temecula since arriving there in1976. When they first purchased KingsWay, Temecula did not consist of much more than a couple of equestrian facilities and dirt roads. Over the years, the area has grown to include golf courses, wineries, countless award-winning restaurants, and a flourishing equestrian community. Linda and Terry Paine believe in supporting the local equestrian community and enjoy participating in several other equestrian-related activities in the area. Terry and Linda are largely involved in the Santa Fe Hunt, Southern California’s only recognized MFHA hunt, and Terry serves as joint–Master. Several times a week, you will see the hounds and members of the hunt riding out of and around the KingsWay property.
